Is Obama anti Science?
SexVine Founder Calvin Tang at the recent Newsvine Drinking Contest
Collette: One of Cash's Ace Science Reporters
SEATTLE -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Feb. 13, 2007 -- Newsvine , the popular Social News website, announced today that they would be adding a Font Page section dedicated solely to Presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
Calvin Tang, Newsvine co-founder: "Over the past week, 80% of all articles and seeds at Newsvine have been about Mr. Obama, he deserves his own section."
"Many people seem excited about him and want to talk about him," Tang - also the founder of SexVine - continued. "Others are ready to pounce on any mistake he makes. Either way he is a comment magnet."
The Obama section will replace the little used Science section on the front page. "Not many people use the science section, especially now that Global Warming has been confirmed. Sure Cash posts the occasionally science article, but the Hot-Chicks tag should suffice for most of his journalism." Cash, currently working on his Girls of Science Calendar, could not be reached or comment.
When asked if Hillary Clinton and other Presidential candidates would also receive their own section, Mr Tang refused to comment.
Haha I was just thinking of writing this article. Good work.
This sucks for me. I have a hard time getting any attention with science articles already - sometimes I have to make an Al Gore joke to get anyone to read an article on supernovae and such.
Maybe I should switch to Obama.
Nice use of the Colleen picture. She lives for science!
She lives for science!
Are you sure a scientist doesn't live for her?
Oops. And her name is right there in the picture too. Now you know why I am wrong on global warming. I meant to say global sexiness all those times I talked about it.
With Collette on the case I feel safer already, and maybe we can finally get some flying cars now.

Chill, I love typography, but I haven't found the font page here at Newsvine yet -- mustn't be looking properly.
Humour aside, enjoyed your humorous article :-)
Cheers.
Currently 9 instances of Obama on the Front Page. This would make 10.
This cracked me up.
Thanks for this Chill.....Insightful to the point of repetition.....ad nauseum, ad nauseum, ad nauseum....When will people understand that this type of coverage for an election is ridiculous at this point. I'm up for listening to anyone, but even in the heat of the battle in our last election I had John Kerry as #5 on my list of probables...and voila the battle changes and the underdog wins...blah...blah...blah...way to early to even hardly give a @!$%#.
As a side bar it's awfully reassuring to know that Calvin drinks something....and all scientists worship at the altar of "Colette".
Thanks again,
Forest
Dammit, Forest, if you had come to the drinking contest as I had planned, you would know that Calvine drinks. *sigh*
That said, I am completely guilty of adding to the Obama madness in the past week, and as with most of my sins I am not sorry at all. Loved that article, though, and it wasn't even for Collette. Not altogether, anyway...(she will note that I spelled her name right, I am sure).

My doctors are a surly group of guys who never had any fun in college, and my family, didn't know I had so many concerned members have, all turned into spies, not that I'm paranoid.....anymore....at least we sort of missed the Anna Nichole debacle....next up Giuliani....
Perhaps we could share Collette?

I will have to add this new Font Page area to my bookmarks.
=P
The third picture kinda took my attention away from the article. What can I say? I like pictures.
Mmmmmmmm, science.
